prayer

Talking about prayer, I just found a beautiful prayer from a website and wanna share it in our blog. This has nothing to do with valentine's day, ehmmm...guess we are still in January. It sounds sweet and "strong" for us, as an-unexperienced-couple, to keep pray for each other. Hope it will be worthy to be shared..be blessed.

our Lord... grant that I and my spouse
may have a true and understanding love for each other.
Grant that we may both be filled with faith and trust.
Give us the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony.
May we always bear with one another's weaknesses,
and grow from each other's strengths,
help us to forgive one another's failings
and grant us patience, kindness, cheerfulness
and the spirit of placing the well-being
of one another ahead of self.

May the love that brought us together
grow and mature with each passing year.
Bring us both ever closer to You
through our love for each other.
Let our love grow to perfection.
Amen

Don't know why, but now I discover that praying constantly need a big effort especially when everything seems going wrong. Anyway, let's try keep praying as it is the biggest power on earth.

Our picture above is not a wonderful shot indeed. But we love it simply because it was taken from the top of Saint Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle, during our jorney September '06. The cathedral is one of the building in the Prague castle. We had to suffered in ascending about 200 steps, besides 101 steps of the Old Castle Stairs to reach the Castle itself.

Wondering how people will come to this very challenging place (I mean the Cathedral, not its tower) just to pray.

Footprint

We are not such talented person in writing poems, neither enjoying reading so much of them. But the Footprint-poem, written by Mary Stevenson, when she was (just..) 10, is beyond this meaning. Undoubtly, it always encouraged me, especially when experiencing difficult times in life.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,is when I carried you.

Dreamed I was walking along a beach with God, and (screaming and crying) questioned Him. "God, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why… when I need You most, You leave me."

And He whispered , "my precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever..during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you".

Stupid me, how dare I assuming God had left me alone during my sad times. Realize that sometimes it's so hard to be "sure" that He always besides us. Be blessed my friends, and schönes wochenende...

Travel to Stuttgart

The next trip (30 Dec. 2006) was to Stuttgart, a beautiful city in Baden-Wuttenberg. We arrived in the morning and directly went to the Schloss Platz (in the first photo). This was the place where me and some friends watched the last world cup and there were many Hooligans there. A nice memory since I have never seen the real Hooligans before, only in TV. I can see how fanatic they are :-). Now, I felt happy since my wife acompanied me during this time. She looks happy :-)

In front of the Schloss, there is a statue of King Wilhelm and Koenigsbau (King's building). Not so many people there in that morning, so we could take picture easily. Our friend Wendy even sometimes laid down to take his wife wife picture :-). Hopefully, he is not reading this post .... he he he.

Many brochures mentioned that this place is always covered by snow in winter time. It will look nice, I guess, but the snow is not coming yet this year. Due to global warming probably??

After taking some times in traditional market in Stuttgart, we went to Porsche museum and Stuttgart stadion, Gottlieb-Daimler. Of course, we just stood in front of them and took some pictures, ...again, for sure. Then, visited Mercedez-Benz Museum, really exciting. Many kinds of Mercedes car, from the primitive one to the really modern. On the left side, it is our picture with the old car of Mercedes-Benz, look nice isn't it ?

Cu in the next trip....soon.
